How Plants Defend Themselves Against Pathogens

Structural Defense

Without the use of induced antibiotics to protect themselves, plants must rely on various structural and anatomical attributes for either avoid infection entirely or prevent infection initially.

Metabolic (Biochemical) Defense

Point to Ponder: How would one go about proving that a defense response was due to "Lack of Some Factor"?
